Non-Pedigree / Cross Breed Pigs FOR SALE
As we have examples of other breeds to show our pig keeping course delegates we sometimes have cross breeds of piglets available. These are sold as fattening weaners although the gilts may be kept as big pets for outdoor keeping only. The quality of the piglets is as high as our pedigree pigs but they cannot be sold with a pedigree meat certificate.
We will have some cross breeds ready from June 2012 all priced at £50

General information on our pigs for sale Breeding Stock The birth notified and registerable pedigree piglets are tagged and notched prior to departure and will either be registered with the BPA in your name at the time of purchase or if older the registration will be transfered to your name. Piglets will be wormed on or before the day of departure (injectable or powder - your piglet your choice). Our older breeding stock are also vaccinated against Erysipelas and Parvovirus and you will be given a copy of their vaccination record. Prices for an 8-10 week old piglet are from £70 for potential show standard boar (we usually only register show standard boars); from £75 for breed standard gilts; and from £90 for show standard gilts. The price increases by a few pounds each week as the pig matures to reflect that they are nearer to the age of breeding and that they will have been vaccinated against Erysipelas and Parvovirus. Fattening Stock The pedigree, birth notified mismarks for fattening will be available @ £50 aged 8-10 weeks and will come with a BPA pedigree meat certificate for each piglet (usually provided via post or email when the pig goes to slaughter, just drop us an email when they go) and will be wormed on or before day of departure. Local delivery can be arranged free of charge if required. If you wish to reserve a piglet prior to age of collection, a deposit of £25 will be required to secure each piglet - apologies for this requirement but you would be surprised at the number of people who happily let you down at collection time. |

Ewe and ram lambs available from July / August. Pure-bred (although unregistered as the breed society became a real faff so we did not renew our membership).
Price includes electronic tagging, blow-fly treatment (Clik) and worming if shown as required by FEC scoring.
